Foreign Minister Soini to Paris

Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini will visit Paris from 4 to 5 October to discuss the strengthening of the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian. The Ministers will also discuss the bilateral relations between their countries, migration questions, transatlantic relations and the situation in Ukraine.

Minister Soini will visit the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO in order to support Finland’s candidature for election to the UNESCO Executive Board. The Minister will present Finland’s goals to the Member States’ ambassadors at an event that will be organised to mark the centenary of Finland’s independence and the over 60 years of cooperation with UNESCO.
