The Foreign Ministry will be on stage at the SuomiAreena event in Pori on Wednesday, 13 July. There will be a variety of programmes on topical foreign policy questions.
At a public event on the Antinkatu 5 stage at 13.30–14.45, Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Kai Mykkänen and Minister for Nordic Cooperation Anne Berner will discuss matters of current importance at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The debate will be hosted by Press and Culture Counsellor Merja Sundström.

The Foreign Ministry will also visit the Baltic Sea market at Pori Market Square. On the MTV stage at Pori Market Square, Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini will fry and taste roach fish from 11.00 to 11.20 in support of the Baltic Sea. The Foreign Ministry's Baltic Sea Ambassador Erja Tikka will also be present.
Café Ambassadeur will be open from 12.00 to 13.00 at Fazer's pop-up café on Yrjönkatu 12.
Ambassadors Pekka Hyvönen, Pekka Huhtaniemi, Jukka Siukosaari and Erja Tikka will be discussing diplomacy and what will be the purpose of embassies in the digital age. The discussion will be hosted by Press and Culture Counsellor Merja Sundström.
The Nordic themes are a part of the official programme of the Finnish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2016.
