The Embassy of Finland is excited to announce a Competition to Meet the Finnish Santa Claus

Plus a chance to win a trip to Lapland for the whole family!

How to Participate:      

Win a chance to meet the real Finnish Santa Claus at the Finnish Ambassador's Residence in the evening of 5th December by sharing with us your favorite Christmas memory.

It can be a photo, a drawing, a poem or a short story, something that can be attached to an e-mail. Please send it to us to sanomat.dub@formin.fi by Wednesday 30th November along with you and your child's contact details (names, child's age, telephone number and e-mail address). We will conduct the draw and inform the winners on Thursday 1st December including details of the evening. In order to participate, your child must be under 12 years old and a resident of Ireland.

  • Please send one memory per participating child
  • One parent/guardian can accompany the child on the evening
  • Participating children must be under 12 years old and residents of Ireland.

Of those lucky ones who get to come and see Santa Claus in person, one will win a trip for the whole family from Dublin to Lapland! (Max. 4 persons; 2 adults and 2 children, you can travel any time excluding December- end of February).  The return flights are provided by Santa Claus's Official Airline Finnair and the accommodation by Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna Rovaniemi.
